Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Discovery Interrogation

I have to go to an interrogation court date for purpose of discovery. I have to pay my exwife money on an loan, but due to child support have not been able to. During the last month I have managed to start paying her, but not the total payment. Will the judge drop the discovery if payment is being made on the debt owed?

Re: Discovery Interrogation

It is tough to say without more information. What exactly is being sought for your court date? The judge will look at what your income is to determine if you are making a good faith effort to pay. There is no way to give you a definitive answer without more information, and I'd recommend consulting with a local attorney about this.
