Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Re: Dog loan

Original Question: I got a loan for $1800 in my name for someone else. They were making the payments on it but are now refusing to and now I am paying the payments. Can I take the dog since the loan is in my name and I am now paying it?

Answer: did you have this other person sign any sort of agreement about the loan? Was the loan secured to the Dog?

I do not believe they signed any sort of agreement about the loan, and I do believe the loan was secured to the dog because I got the loan through the store in which I bought the dog.

Re: Re: Dog loan

Do the loan documents that you signed actually state that they can come and get the dog if you fail to pay?
