Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Extortion/Blackmail

I want to know if a creditor company forced me to refinance my house? The credit company is blackmailing me into refinancing my house they even gave my personal information to a refinance company and they have ran my figures and got me an approval. The credit company told me if I don't contact the loan officer for the refinance they will take me to court...Is this legal, I even have their voicemail they left on my answering machine for verification.

Re: Extortion/Blackmail

I answered you earlier, but it appears the response was lost. What I said is that the creditor's behavior was and is outrageous and violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act based on what you have described.

I would love talk to you in more depth about this. It is possible that you have a lawsuit and can get money damages. You can contact me at 248.679.1552.
