Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

My fiance` is having his wages garnished, (even though we were never served papers) but we are working on getting it appealed because the garnishment is leaving us with no money for our basic needs. (rent, food, baby expenses, utilities, etc..) Is there any way to put the garnishment on hold till the final court date?

The judgment-creditor is not required to give you notice before garnishing wages. There is no way to stop the garnishment pending a final order from the court. You will likely not get the money back that was already garnished.
