Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

garnishment

Michigan wants to garnish my wages for back child support. I live in NV and have heard that they cannot do that in this state, The girl is now 30 years old. She is not my child, but I have never had the DNA test to prove it. They said they want to take over $450 a week, right now I am laid off. Please let me know what alternatives I might have,. Thank you, Guy

I do not give legal advice about specific situations, only general legal information. Thus I cannot advise you in detail as you are requesting. I would state that I believe Nevada, generally, allows garnishment of wages (but as to your situation I have no opinion).
