garnishment

I paid a lawyer the entire amount due to them to avoid garnishment. they never contacted my work, now im being garnished. what recorse do I have?

Has the garnishment hearing occurred yet? If not, then go to the garnishment court date and bring proof of the fact you paid the debt in full. If the date has passed and your wages are being garnished, then contact the attorney and see if they will refund the excess funds taken from you.
