Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I helped my brother pay off two debts several years ago with the agreement that he would pay me back. We didn't sign a contract or anything because he's my brother and we both had the understanding that I would be reimbursed. Now his fiancee has involved herself and said that he isn't going to pay me the rest what is owed(which is a considerable amount 5000+). Do I have any options here?

You're going to need some proof that the money you gave him was not a gift. If you do, you can sue him for the money. Short of suit, you will have to rely on your brother's moral compass. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
