Please Help!Violation of probation
I have worked hard to complete all aspects of my probation but I was not able to make all of my court oredered restitution to the state payments. I have recieved a letter stating I am in violation of probation and must appear in court in 1 business day-Monday. I do not want to go to jail. Please tell me what to do!

There is no debtor's prison in the U.S. You need to go to court and explain why you cannot pay the money.
Re: Please Help!Violation of probation
You must appear in court. If I were your attorney, I would contact the probation officer assigned to the court. I would tell them your financial circumstances and ask for a waiver of the payments and/or a payment plan that you are able to meet. I would note that you have worked hard to complete your probation and this shows your good faith. I would point to your efforts to earn money and show that it is not as if you have been shirking your responsibility.
