Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

My husband and I are retired. We have a motor home and have for two years been unable to sell it. It is a 2002. Class C 34' We want to know if we can just stop payment. We owe 36,000 If they can take our home from us. My husband is no longer able to drive it. He has been ill. Can we just stop payment? We dont know what to do.
