Inaccurate Garnishments

18 years ago a relative used my info fradulently. This relative shared the same first, middle and last name and same year of birth. Now he is deceased and I am the one getting my wages garnished for what he did. This year I filed an objection to garnishment on a judgment from 1987. I went to court (the attorney did not show up) and the Judge ordered a stop on the garnishment with all monies to be returned to me, but the lawyer disregarded the order, re-entered and garnished my wages. How can I keep them from garnishing my wages and is there any way of getting my money returned to me?

Re: Inaccurate Garnishments

You need to show that you did not make the charges and try to get the judgment set aside. To do this, you need an attorney. The creditor is entitled to garnish your wages otherwise.
