Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Letter of Debt settlement

I am wondering if there is a letter I can use to send to my credit card company asking for a debt settlement so that I do not have to file bankruptcy or do I have to have an attorney do it for me.

Thank you

Re: Letter of Debt settlement

You can call or write your credit card company and ask them to settle your debt for a lump sum or payments if you are delinquent. It helps to give a reason for your financial difficulties. You may also hire an experienced and knowledgeable attorney.

Good luck.
