Is Michigan a comunity property state and if not can my spouses property be siezed for a debt that I owe in another state from years earlier?

First, Michigan is not a community property state. However, marriages that are validly entered into in other states are recognized as valid in Michigan (except same sex marriages). Second, pursuant to the Married Woman�s Act and unless your spouse pledged or otherwise offered her property as security, her property cannot be attached to answer for your debt. Best of luck.
