Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I paid 2 parking ban tickets in cash in city envelope in city drop box .2 years later they say I did not pay them and too bad I paid cash in their city envelope with no receipt .No previous non payment notices were issued to me.I trusted the clerk collecting the money in the office.Can I legally fight the city as they waited 2 years to let me know they never got my cash.I would never have paid cash for the second one knowing the cash went missing for the first one.

I'm not sure what you mean by "fight" the city. I am certain, however, you could file a motion to set aside the parking judgments for the reason that they were already paid. You would then have the opportunity to explain these circumstances to a judge.
