Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I had a payday advance loan with ChecknGo about three years ago, since then I have moved several times forgot about the debt, and owe them a little over $1500. I made the first three payments, but the last five were returned. Needless to say, just recently they have collection/litigation comapnies calling me threating criminal prosectuion for bad check writing. I lost my job at the time and couldn't pay them back, I am now willing to setup a payment plan, but they refuse, they want the entire amount in full or they will prosecute. I can't afford the $1500 , and told them that I could setup payment arrangements, they were very rude and consistently call me with these threats. Please help me. Thanks.
