Re: Register an Illinois Judgment in Michigan

You will have to file the judgment in a a proper Michigan court; a new action (complaint) is no longer required. An attorney can assist you in doing this; otherwise you will have to talk to a court clerk, but please note that they cannot give legal advice. An attorney can also assist you in collection on the judgment. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at www.lawgreg.com

You, or local counsel, will have to file a new action here to enter a forgien jugdment. You will need a certified copy of the judgment to file with the Michigan pleadings.
