Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Reposession and divorce

what happens when a person gets divorced and has a divorce decree that states that the ex husband was to take my name off of the lease through Ford instead never did and in the event never paid the payment to ford, having a voluntary repossession on my credit. I have contacted Ford and they advised me that I signed a legal contract prior to my divorce. So my credit report has a repossession for the ex truck. Do I have any recourse?

Re: Reposession and divorce

If you signed the contract, you are still responsible. You may have recourse with the divorce court against your ex-husband.
