Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I was served with a seizure of property over old credit card debt. I purchased a vehicle a month ago. Its the only vehicle I have. I owe 8000 on it, and technically I am a cosigner. Can they take the vehicle? The debt is for a little under 4000.

Yes, they can. If a judgment is outstanding, a writ for seizure of property is a proper method of trying to collect on the debt.
