Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

settlement

I have been unemployed since Oct.2004.I had to have surgery on my elbow in Oct.2004 also. I have been unable to pay my credit card payments since Oct.2004.I will not be able to seek employment doing the same kind of work I did because of the surgery.Which means when I do get employment I will earn much less. I have tried to settle with the credit card co.on an amount but they are unwilling to settle on an amount that I can give them. I really don't want to go bankrupt. What else can I do?

Re: settlement

Those are pretty much your options. If you are not working, your wages cannot be garnished in the event the creditor sues and gets a judgment against you.

My law firm specializes in debt resolution and we may have another option for you. Call me at (248) 679-1552 for more info.

Good luck.
