Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

SOL Question

I acquired this debt in CA, and then moved to MN. I am aware that the SOL is 6 years on this debt.

The debt went delinquent in 2/2002. A payment that cleared was made in June of 2002, but did not bring the debt current. Another payment was submitted and bounced on 9/21/2002. NSF fee, account charge back and payment credit all appear the same day, which is odd to me.

When does the SOL start ticking? From the NSF payment? Or the last real payment that cleared?

Thanks in advance.

Re: SOL Question

it is most likely the real payment date, not the NSF date. Have you been sued on this? If so, contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
