Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan
Stop Collections
In February I received medical treatement. My insurance have a $500.00 deductable. The bill went to collection on June 12th. I have since tried to pay on the bill, but they refuse wanting me to place it on credit card the interest is to high and I only use it for emergency should I continue to pay monthly to stop garnishment

Whatever you agree to, get it IN WRITING and keep track of who you talk to and when. Most medical facilities are more than willing to let you make monthly payments, however, now that it has gone to a collection agency, that is a different story (unless it is just in the collections department at the hospital/facility).
Either work out a payment plan (again, confirm it in writing), or put it on your credit card. Of course they are going to pressure you to pay it in full, by any means, as they'd rather have all of their money now, and they don't really care how you get the money or what kind of interest rate you are paying - they simply want their money.
For them to be able to garnish a paycheck, they have to file a lawsuit first and obtain a judgment.

You are not in court yet. Make your payments and let them sue you before caving in. You can even ask for a payment plan if it gets to court. visit www.kliszlaw.com for more info. Tim Klisz
