Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Can I be sued again by a different creditor for a debt that I have been previously sued on, and received a judgement? If not, can I counter sue such a "double jeopardy" creditor for damages?

You can defend the new suit by showing it was previously sued on. Double jeopardy is a criminal term and does not apply in a civil case. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
