Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Being sued / garnishment

I am being sued for money owed on a reposition. Suit was filed and garnishment was put into place. Question is : Does the prosecuting firm have to re-file suit to continue garnishment at a new job in a different district court? And do they have to notify me before they do said action?
