Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

tortious interference with a contractual relationship

Hello,

My father took a loan from my grandmother a while back for 25,000.00 and stopped paying her. She would call me crying because she had no food. I would send her a $100 check/month with ''gift'' on it so it would not interfere with the loan. I no longer speak to my father because of this. I got a letter from an attorney stating I can not see or talk to my grandmother now because of the money I was giving her for food. Are they allowed to stop me from seeing her. She also recenly turned over power of attorney to my Uncle who is actually the one trying to stop me from seeing her. Can I still see her because I did nothing wrong, I was just trying to help her because no one else would. Thank You.

Re: tortious interference with a contractual relationship

You should be able to see your grandmother and make sure she is okay. You can ask for assistance from the probate court in the form of a petition for guardian ad litem, who can, once appointed, look into your grandmother's situation. I would be glad to help you. First you will want to exhaust the measure of having an attorney deal with the bully attorney via a phone conversation and letter. If you would like me to assist you, please don't hesitate. I have a blog and recently wrote an entry about the elderly being pressured in a similar situation to yours. Please take a look and contact me. www.lawrefs.com; [email protected]
