Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan
Unauthorized Credit record pulled
Chase Bank recently sent me a denial letter of credit increase. I never made one, the one they are refering. I called them and they claim that I have made the request over the phone. I am more than certain I have not made the request. I challanged their authority. They refused to provide any proof of my request (written or tape recorded).
Do I have any legal recourse against Chase Manhattan Bank?
If I do have one, please refer me a Lawyer here (Zip:48323)
Thanks for your service.

Re: Unauthorized Credit record pulled
There is probably no substantive recourse. You need to send them a letter telling them that no request for an increase in your line of credit should be accepted if made telephonically. You should also immediately change your account number and have new cards issued because my guess is your financial information has been pirated. Do this immediately before you wind up with $500 or more in stolen charges.
