Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

vehicle damage responsibilty

I am in Michigan, had vehicle towed by recovery contractor from bank. Paid all fees and picked up Trailblazer, while driving after leaving lot the vehicle doesn't shift gears properly and cruise control doesn't work. Who is liable and what city would I file in if necessary.

I think you would have a steep uphill battle if you attempted to sue the towing company because you would have to prove that your vehicle did not have those problems prior to the towing incident.
