Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

333.74012B1 Arrested

My son 17 years old, no prior arrests or convictions is awaiting a pre-trial for 333.74012B1 Controlled Substance - Delivery/Manufacture. At his exam hearing he pleaded Not Guilty. His police statement indicated that although he went into the city to get the ecstasy (less than 50 grams) for a friend (that adminitted the drugs were his) he was getting them for a friend that was intending to sell them. He was stopped on a traffic stop and allowed the police to search his car (this other friend was in the car and had the drugs in the glove box) he answered all the police questioning giving complete details for the who asked him to go into town to pick up the drugs and what was their intentions with the drugs. Both the other boys have prior convictions and used my son to transport the pills from the city back to our small town. he is now being drug tested and is not showing any signs of drugs in his system. What should I expect at the pre-trial. The court appointed attorney said things look good for my son, he's young, he told the truth, has never been in trouble and lives with us still.........jail or propation?
