Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I am 25 and I was caught stealing from tj maxx for 25.98 worth of items. I have 2 dui and vandalism on my record. I am trying to contact the stire and ask if they drop the charges because nothing was damaged and I cooperated. I want to know what is most likely to be my outcome as well as should I hire an attorney?

They will not drop charges. Their decision came when they called the police. You should certainly use a lawyer, as a criminal record for theft is very bad for your record.
