If you are charged with OWI II (2nd offense in 7 years), you're looking at a fine of not less than $200.00 or more than $1,000.00 and 1 or more of the following:

(i) Imprisonment for not less than 5 days or more than 1 year. (ii) Community service for not less than 30 days or more than 90 days.

A revocation of your license for one year. A reinstatement fee of $2000 payable over two years to the Secretary of State and an electronic ignition device on your vehicle for one year after reinstatement.

You'll know if your charged as a second offender if you get a notice to appear in the mail in addition to any ticket you may have received. Even if your second offense falls outside of the 7 year period, you still face up to 93 days in jail.

You should not appear in any court without first consulting an attorney. I can be reached @ 248-680-1133
