Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I'm 18, while I was 17 I got into some trouble for theft at a store. I went to jail, and was bonded out the next day. The charge was under $1,000, it was a mistameanor . I showed up to my first court date, but while waiting to see the judge a lady came out and told me the court date had been moved. I notified my mom, who was living out of state, and she made my son and I move with her and my family and I missed the court date. I was moved for 7 months, and now moving back home and I want to take care of this. I am 8 months pregnant, how do I go about dealing with this? When I turn myself in how long will I be in jail? What should I expect?
