17 year old daughter

my 17yr old daughter was at a party with several under age drinkers present and no parents. some friends of my daughter needed a ride home. my daughter was not intoxicated and so it was decided amongst the party goers that my daughter would use a guys car and drive these friends home.as it turns out the car my daughter was told to use actually belonged to the guy at the partys brother as luck would have it it was a rainy caseville michigan night and my daughter apparently lost control of the car and hit a mailbox along the rode. the kids paniced and drove back to the party to tell chris ( who was by then past out ) about the damage to his brothers car. my daughter suggested to call the police but was talked out of it by friends who said that chris ( the guy who was past out )who deal with it in the morning. the following morning the mother of the car owner was on my door demanding a check for 3 thousand dollars to cover the repair expenses.at this time i did not know all of the details so i did not sign the affadavid she and her son had writen out for me to sign. the affadavid stated that if i paid the 3 thousand by october1 they would not have my daughter prosecuted. now my daughter has been brought into the police department and
