Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Hi, i am 17 yrs old and was caught shoplifting at kmart. the merchandise was only about $30 bucks total. i was sent to jail, sat for a few hours and was released on bail for $200. i was charged with a retail fraud third degree. I have a set court date. my parents arent really cooperating or havent talked to me about getting an attorney or anything due to their frustration & anger. all i know is im due at court july 21st.. i dont know what to do or say in court. i just want it all to be over with. someone help me please! what should i do? will i have to pay anything at court? idk what to expect
