Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
adequacy of insanity evaluations
I am interest in any state or federal appeals court decision in which a guilty verdict after a failed insanity defense was overturned because of insufficient effort by the mental health expert, e.g., failed to review mental health records or to interview appropriate witnesses. Thanks.

You might want to look at People v. Webb, 458 Mich. 265 (1998); People v. Gilbert Johnson, 52 Mich. App. 560 (1974); People v. Word, 67 Mich. App. 663 (1976); People v. Murphy, 416 Mich. 453 (1982).
