Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Arrested after disposition 10 years ago

Okay, I will make this very quick. I went to Canada hunting September 22, 2007 crossing the border with my Passport and Drivers Licenses upon coming back the 29th of September I was arrested for a outstanding warrant that was issued more the 9 years ago and disposed of 2/29/1999 with me receiving a 18 month probation and if I keep myself out of trouble the misdemeanor would be dropped all together. The issue here is I went to court for all of this and since then have not been in any trouble other than a driving infraction and no issues coming up with getting a job, passport, or buying guns.

Do i have a chance to push the issue with the State that dropped the ball and not having this warrant taken care of? I thought that I had this all taken care of about 8 years ago and have recently went to England and the British Virgin Islands and had know trouble. How can I get into a country with a 10 year old warrant that I went to court before and then when I come back I get arrested and have to post a $5,000.00 cash bond. If this is justice I pass on the justice system. This is a prime reason our systems suck Americans get persecuted and illegals come and go as they please.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Arrested after disposition 10 years ago

You were clear about everything except the reason for the outstanding warrant.

It may be a clerical error easily resolved by you appearing in the court that sentenced you,or... it may be a bench warrant for your failure to appear.
