Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

i was arrested on a felony marijuana charge over a year ago..the terms of my plea agreement were plead guilty, complete 12 mnths of probation, and i would be dismissed from probation and the charge would be reduced to a misdemeanor. so a delay of sentencing.. what was suppose to be my last court appearence, to get off probation, was just the other day. well 2 weeks ago i called the court house, got the circuit court desk or whatever you call it, i was looking for a phone number, since the state has the wrong one posted on their website, i called who anyone else would, the courthouse.. they were rude, disrespectful, and hung up on me. said they didnt know what the MDOC was, in their position, they should, and tried telling me i couldnt make payments over the phone, which you can.. i can go into more detail if needed..well i called back, said some things, i was hung up on numerous times, i said some bad words, nothing too bad.. well at my sentencing, which my lawyer didn't show up at because he thought i was just to go, plea, and get off..well the judge brought up the phone incident.. said i have to write a letter of apology to the ladies at the clerks desk in the courthouse, he extended my probation by 6 mnths, and said upon review of my letter, seeing how "sincere" i was, he would consider letting me off... ummm yeah, can i get some feedback please!!! is this legal for him to do? i dont understand how he can do this..my lawyers office is closed on the weekend so i was only able to leave a message and have yet to hear his input.
