Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I was arrested for posession of a controlled substance under 20 grams which was a felony. I was granted 7411 and I have completed my probation with no problems. This was in the state of michigan. I want to obtain my CCW. Will I be allowed to get a it?

Yes if you are stating the truth, since completion of the terms of a 7411 wipes out the original charges and/or makes it as though it never occurred. You may need to have your arrest record and fingerprints destroyed. There is a form in Michigan which you can file requesting this. If you had a lawyer, contact him or her and ask if this needs to be accomplished. If it was already part of your deal and/or ordered in your case, then you just need to make sure it was done. If not, or if it is unclear, then you likely need to be proactive and take the appropriate steps to have that information destroyed, so that every little part of the papertrail is gone - buh bye gone. You can go to the Supreme Court's website for the SCAO forms and look under "criminal" for the forms regarding destruction of arrest records and fingerprints. Good luck.
