Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I was arrested for 3rd degree retail fraud for stealing $47 worth of merchandise from a Meijer. I was taken to jail and informed that my arraignment is on Nov. 23 2009. This is my first offense and I have a clean record barring this incident. What kind of sentence am I facing? Is there a way to get it reduced or dismissed or somehow removed from my record? I'm a 22 year old college graduate with a steady part time job and cannot afford an attorney.

Yes, there may be options so that a criminal conviction will not appear on your record. You need to have your case evaluated by an attorney. Further, your arraignment can be waived through an attorney in most courts. Feel free to contact Attorneys of Michigan, ask for Dan. 248.865.4700.
