asap please
my cousin is in jail for attempted murder.....we were both drunk when it happened i just drove the truck...it all started because he got jumped.now the police want me to testify against him...am i gonna go to jail also? and why havent they put me in jail...also he only confessed because the police told him he would have to take a lie detector test...but they didnt tell him it would not be allowed in court
did the police also screw him?? please write back soon!!

1. Where did this happen? In what city? In what city are you?
2. You could end up in jail if you are not careful.
3.You should not discuss this with anyone, not even the police, until you talk to a lawyer.

Do nothing. Talk to no one. You're in a panic and scared people get themselves in more trouble.
Once you calm down, you might consider talking to a lawyer - especially if you're subpoenaed as a witness for your cousin's preliminary exam which may or may not be held.
Given your cousin's confession, it's highly unlikely this will ever go to trial and, if it does, it won't be anytime soon.

Probably not a good idea to talk to the police. No sense doing their job for them. You may be arrested as an accomplice. This is probably a good time to get yourself an attorney. Attempted murder is a very serious offense.
