Is it a good idea to accept a court appointed attorney?

Yes, but only if you can't afford to hire an attorney of your choice. Nevertheless, you are better off with a Court Appointed Attorney than having to represent yourself in Court. I, for one, have never been a court appointed attorney.

Our office receives several complaints almost every day about court appointed attorneys. I would not recommend that any friend or relative of mine settle for a court appointed attorney.
