My husband assaulted our 18 year old daughter, resulting in injuries treated in the emergency room. What would a typical sentence be, assuming conviction? He is seeing a psychiatrist next week to evaluate for post traumatic stress disorder and anger management.

It depends on many different factors: What offense does he plead to? Who is the judge? Does your husband have a criminal history? What is the extent of the injuries? This list goes on...
