i was assulted at my place of employment. what are my right? and what actions can i take legally

Contact local counsel, but make sure this is documented in writing at your place of employment.

Your post did not mention what you did after your were attacked.
If you were truly assaulted, you should have called the police at the time or immediately notified the responsible company official. If you did neither, a theoretical case of assault may be made, but few lawyers would be interested in bringing suit.
