Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

attempted CSC 4th degree

I m charged with CSC 4th degree by my employee, but i m now getting a plea bargain for attempted CSC 4th degree, should i take the plea bargain and end it, or should i fight it, what would be the chances of winning this case. also would that require me to register Sex offender? please help me..

I cannot tell you to fight the case without knowing more of the facts. Even if you are offered assault & battery, some prosecutors will argue that you must register on the sex offender registry because the facts of the case (not the offense you pled to) consititue a sex offense. There is a "catch-all" provision in the sex offender registry law.

It is difficult to determine whether you should fight the charge without knowing all the facts. In addition, with SORA, even if you plead to a lesser offense, part of the deal may force you to register according to the terms of the original charged offense.
