Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
can an attorney represent a client in a criminal case and at the same time represent a teachers union suing the same county that the defendant is being prosecuted in. Is this considered a conflict of interest?

No, the attorney is against the county in both cases. Representing a defendant in a criminal case (county is plaintiff) and case against county (county is defendant). Conflicts arise when an attorney is representing two clients with different interests.
