Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
bad checks
What is the time limit on prosecution for someone having written a check that went bad, but the company collecting the funds bought the check from the original company. They have not let these people know anything about the check since they took it over l year ago.

The general criminal statute of limitations applies. In Michigan, it is 6 years after the offense date.
