Re: bank robbery

You should contact the prosecuting attorney's office that handled the case to file a motion to amend any restitution order against the defendant(s) to add your wage loss and/or out-of-pocket expenses for counseling/therapy related to your emotional harm/injuries caused by the bank robbery and hostage situation. In my opinion, they can be awarded under Michigan's Crime Victim Rights Act.

Contact your prosecutor ASAP!

If your case was handled in Federal court, or a state other than Michigan, then you'll have to talk to the US Attorney's office of state prosecutor's office that handled the case to analyze your claims under their victim rights laws.

Re: bank robbery

If you had this experience at the bank at which you were an employee, you should contact a worker's compensation attorney. You need to learn whether you are entitled to comp benefits and/or any other benefits.
