Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
im a bein charged with home invasion second degree....im only 17 have no criminal background and im a high school athlete...........im a just a teen who made one bad mistake what do you think will most likely be my punishment

You may be able to convince the judge to put you on "Holmes Youthful Trainee Act" probation. HYTA allows the court to dismiss charges after successfully completing this probation, even if the prosecutor objects. It is limited to people committing crimes when they are 17-20 yrs old. It is a discretionary call by the judge, so no guarantees.
