Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My boyfriend was just released yesterday afternoon after being arrested with a charge of domestic violence on me and another charge of assault and battery towards my father. When he was released they put in place a "no contact" order where we are not allowed to have any contact and so for him and my father. I"m not scared of this these charges are from 3 months ago, we were doing so much better as a couple everything was great. We had no fighting, we were getting a long better and he was doing so much better himself.
I do not understand how long this "no contact" order will be in place for and when it will be lifted, or how I can go about getting it lifted? Also do I have to get it lifted or can he and when??? I'm not afraid of him!

You would have to request it of the judge handling the case. It's up to them.
