Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Should a business be liable for use of a credit card, which didn't belong to the user? I realize the thieves will charged with a felony, but what about the business itself. Can I pursue a lawsuit against them for not checking proper ID. Especially, (1) Two guys using a womans card & (2) a $450.00 puchase didn't concern them to check. Not to mention he thiefs went back to the same store 1/2hr later and tried to use it again for another XBOX. At this time my card was declined.
Thank you
Genelle
