Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My car was crashed and had drugs inside of it when the police found it, the only problem I didn't do it. They saw the registration and found that the car belonged to my mother so they went to my house. My brother was there and said that I had used the car that night. My nosy neighbors came over to see why there was a cop in my driveway and the cop(s) told them that I crashed a car popped a bunch of pills and ran from the scene (because 2 armed guard "witnesses" say they were 100% sure it was me because the police only gave them my picture). either way the cops told me neighbors that I did all that and i didn't. Can I sue the police for slander?

Highly unlikely, especially if you were arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
