Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
careers for a felon
I was recently charged with 3 counts of a felony (FTD w/o consent). I will be sentenced in about a month and will more than likely get some jail time. I am currently enrolled in college for this fall, and hopefully I will be out by then. I wanted to go into nursing, but because of my recent legal situation, I will not be able to get into a nursing program. I am wondering what kind of careers I can go to school for with a felony conviction on my record. I really want to get a degree and become sucessful. Can you help me?

Re: careers for a felon
There are professions that do not discriminate based on criminal history, but that's not entirely what this board is designed to do. Consult the career development office at your school before you go in. You should be able to get the information without telling them your conviction, although you might have the obligation to tell the college.
