Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

i was caught shoplifting and the police were called, and he gave me a ticket of retail fraud of 3rd degree , and i am going to appea in court soon, what will court do ,first time and last, i was very dumb and stupid.. will go to jail or what worried sick please help. i am michigan, and i am not a minor. i am aged 26.
